This course is an academic science credit that focuses on all aspects of our ocean including physical geology and marine biology. The course is a content science, which means that a lot of the course will focus on learning new vocabulary so lab activities and assignments can be completed using the correct language. The course has a 30% final and we will complete at least 6 different lab exercises, including 3 dissections (squid, perch, dogfish). A lot of the reading we will do will be from sections of "The Essentials of Oceanography" (10th edition)
